Re: Trick Sheet
Here is the Falcon Reference sheet I told you about. Please keep in mind that
this is just a sheet I put together to help me, and thought that others might
get some use out of. It's by no means intended to be a professional job. I
cut mine down to about 7" by 8" and laminated it. You can get laminating in
any discount, drug or office supply store.
Since I did it for myself, I thought I should explain some of the abbrevia-
tions.
Under Sams, the R and IR stand for Radar and Infrared. The numbers next to
that column are the missle's range, next to that is the number in the square
on your TWI that the radar will show up as.
The Dump section is the keyboard commands to dump various stuff that I put
there because I could never remember the darn things.
TWI Codes show what type of radars produce what codes. The squares (sq) are
sam radars, the diamonds (dia) are aircraft radars. Under each diamond code
are the aircraft, friend and foe, that will produce that code on your TWI.
Aircraft has the name of the aircraft and what type it is. For example F B
means fighter - b class. The TWI number is the code that aircraft will
produce on your TWI, under "R rg" that's the longest radar missle range, under
"IR rg", same thing for infrared missiles.
Standoff ranges are self explanatory (I think)
Radar, is the new HFR radar command available on OFT.
The wingman commands are from the book. (Don't forget, you have to hit Shift
first) Next to the bracket commands, those numbers remind you that you should
be at least 15 miles away and have an aspect angle greater than 160 before
issuing the bracket command. The number next to Drag indicates that you should
be at least 10 miles away to issue that command.
ILS was just to remind me that if the hud said B it meant that was the ils
setup that is used to find the airfield and D is the one that guides you to
the beginning of the runway.
When you get a missle launch and go to padlock the messages under Padlock
Messages show which missle is about to kiss you
Formation information tells you the altitude separation, wing to wing
separation and nose to tail separation of the individual formulations.
I hope you can get some use out of it. If you have any suggestions or other
ideas to make it better, let me know. My prodigy number is jrpt26a, home
address and phone are below.
See ya, Trick

PS: If you got this from a BBS there are several file formats. Falcon.doc is in
Word Perfect for Windows format. I have no idea if you can make use of it
or any of the others. At least two are in dos text format. Maybe you can do
something with them. If not drop me a note and I'll send you a printed sheet.
